How to display the list of blog categories in the left column?

To enable the list of blog categories in the left column, we go to the module settings:




select the "Main configuration" tab:




Then, enable the option "Display left/right column category tree":




and save the changes:




The next step is to edit the layout of the blog page so that the list of categories is displayed correctly.
In the menu of our store, we expand the "Design" option, and then select "Theme & Logo":




"Theme & Logo" tab will open for us:




and at the very bottom, on the right side, we click "Choose layouts":




A list with available pages will show us, where we search for "module-pshowblog":




if, for example, we want to display a list of categories in the left column on the entry page, we find a page named "module-pshowblog-entry" and choose the page layout "Two Columns, small left column - Two columns with a small left column".




we save the changes:
