PShowGoogleLogin - module configuration

Our module communicates Google with your PrestaShop shop and allows your shop's customers to log in using their Google account. To connect Google to your shop, create a Project in your Google account according to the instructions below. This is a one-time operation. Once you have created a project, you will copy the secret project key that you enter in the module.


1. log in to your Google account and go to https://console.cloud.google.com/ You will arrive at the Google Cloud Dashboard, as in the screenshot below. Click on APIs and services:



2 On the APIs and Services page, click the Select Project link and then click 'New Project'. Enter a name for the project and complete the necessary details.



3. Once the project has been created, Google will take you to the OAuth consent screen configuration. Optionally, go there yourself by selecting "OAuth consent screen" in the left menu. On the OAutoh Consent Screen page, go through the configuration by selecting User type: external:




4. Then go through the steps of configuring your application.

Enter more information about the consent screen that will be displayed to customers in your shop when they use Google login. Enter your name (e.g. shop address), upload your logo, paste links to your terms of use and privacy policy, and enter your authorised domain(s):



In the second step, add the data ranges that the shop will retrieve from your Google account - select the information you want to obtain from your customers. The module supports the minimum necessary to create an account. Select the first two items (email, first name, last name and avatar):



In the third step, you can skip adding test users.
Save and go to the APIs and services screen.
In the "OAuth Consent Screen" tab, toggle the production test mode. You will be able to change these settings at any time:



6. Go to the "Login details" screen. Select CREATE LOG IN DATA > OAuth Client ID:



7. In the OAuth Customer ID configuration, select "Web application" and provide additional information about your application, i.e. your web shop. Enter the name and domains, and finally click CREATE:



9. Your application is ready to connect to the PShowGoogleLogin module installed in your shop. Copy the OAuth ID and paste it in the module configuration. Done:
