Problem with module self-disabling

Our modules work only on domains added in My Account in PrestaShow.

If you install a module on a store with a different domain than the one specified in My Account and try to access the store, you will most likely see an error message (the store may stop working).

Refresh the page > the module will uninstall automatically > the store will return to operation.

Why is the module uninstalling itself?

As of 2023-06, our modules have a security system that, in case of an error, uninstalls the module and renames the module directory (add to directory: _error_) instead of blocking the entire store.

This disables the module on a domain you have not added in My Account, and the store can continue to operate and take orders, instead of displaying Error.

If the module uninstalls and the directory with the module is renamed:
  • You are trying to access the store using a domain that is not added to the module license.
  • You are using a module that you downloaded before adding a new domain.
  • [Multistore only] The module does not have Multistore support purchased and/or Multistore domains added in My Account.
Make sure you have entered all domains correctly in My Account on prestashow.co.uk and then download the module and reinstall it in your store.
