Order sources

In the order preview in the admin panel there is a "Sources" tab showing a list of web addresses from which a given customer entered the store - this could be, e.g., a search engine, a blog redirecting to the store, etc.

No entry sources

Sometimes orders may have no entry sources into the store. There can be several reasons:
  • the customer uses tracking-blocking software (e.g. the "uBlock Origin" browser extension)
  • the customer went directly to the store by typing its address in the browser
  • the module is installed incorrectly - in this case, simply uninstall and reinstall the module
We would like to kindly clarify that our module has no way of directly indicating the transaction source in GA4. It can only suggest a source when the Measurement Protocol is active and additional information is sent, however it is the Google Analytics (GA4) system itself that, based on its own algorithms and data (such as gclid, fbclid, UTM, cookies, etc.), independently assigns the conversion source.

In practice, this means that even if a link contains gclid or fbclid, GA4 may assign the transaction as not set or direct if it determines that the required contextual data is missing (e.g. session, cookies, or an adequate session duration).
