Managing banner slides
Slides hold the actual images of a banner. A single slide makes a static banner, while two or more slides make a rotating slider. In the following example you will add a slide with an image to a previously created image banner (see the guide "Creating an image banner or slider").Step 1. Go to the Banners & sliders tab. Find your banner in the list and click the Slides action in its row.
Step 2. Click the Add new button.
Step 3. In the Image (desktop) field, upload the slide image. It is used as the largest source (on big screens). Allowed formats include
jpg, png, webp.Step 4. (Optional) In the Image (mobile) field, upload a lighter or portrait image to be served on small screens. Leave empty to use the Image (desktop) image on phones as well.
Step 5. (Optional) In the Alt text field, enter a short description of the image - it is important for accessibility and SEO. Leave empty only for purely decorative images.
Step 6. (Optional) In the Link field, enter the address the customer is taken to when they click the slide (e.g. a link to a category or product).
Step 7. (Optional) Set the Open link in a new tab switch to Yes so the link opens in a new browser tab.
Step 8. Make sure the Displayed switch is set to Yes - only displayed slides appear in the banner.
Step 9. Click Save to store the slide.
Step 10. (Optional) Repeat steps 2-9 to add more slides. When a banner has two or more slides, it becomes a rotating slider (with arrows, dots and - if enabled - autoplay).
Step 11. (Optional) In the slides list, set their order by dragging the slides into the desired sequence. They will rotate in the slider in this order.
Note. When editing an existing slide, if you save without choosing a new file, the current image is kept. The image is replaced only when you upload a new file.
