Bulk Special (Promotional) Price Configuration
In the following example, an operation will be configured to generate special (promotional) prices that reduce the prices of products from a selected category by 15% for the duration of the promotion.Step 1. Go to the Bulk Price Edit tab.
Step 2. Click the Add new button.
Step 3. Enter a configuration name — ideally a descriptive one that indicates what it does. In this example, enter
Summer Sale -15%.Step 4. In the Operation type field, select Generate specific (promotional) prices.
Step 5. Configure the price change parameters:
- Modify method — select Percentage.
- Value — enter
15.
Step 6. (Optional) Define a price range (Process only if price from / to) — the promotion will only be generated for products whose price falls within the specified range.
Step 7. In the Reduction applies to (net/gross) field, choose whether the percentage value is calculated based on the net or gross price.
Step 8. (Optional) In the Minimum quantity field, specify how many units of the product must be in the cart for the special price to apply (default
1).Step 9. (Optional) Set the promotion's validity period using the Start date and End date fields. Leaving these fields empty means the special price will be valid indefinitely.
Step 10. (Optional) Select a Currency and Country if the promotion should apply only to customers paying in a specific currency or shopping from a specific country. Leaving the default values ("All currencies" / "All countries") will apply the promotion to all customers.
Step 11. (Optional) Enable the Delete existing specific prices first option if all existing special prices for matched products should be removed before the new promotion is added.
Step 12. (Optional) Check the Active products only option if the promotion should apply only to products visible in the store.
Step 13. (Optional) If you apply several filters below (categories, manufacturers/suppliers, features, customer groups), use the All conditions must be met option to decide whether a product must match all selected conditions at once (Yes), or whether matching any one of them is enough (No).
Step 14. (Optional) In the Categories section, select the categories whose products should be covered by the promotion.
Step 15. (Optional) In the Search products field, you can additionally pick individual, specific products to be covered by the promotion.
Step 16. (Optional) In the Manufacturers and Suppliers sections, select which manufacturers' or suppliers' products should be covered by the promotion.
Step 17. (Optional) In the Product features section, select the features that products covered by the promotion must have.
Step 18. (Optional) In the Customer groups section, select the groups for which the special price should apply. If no group is selected, the promotion will apply to all customers.
Step 19. Make sure the Active switch is set to Yes — only active configurations can be run.
Step 20. Click Save to store the configuration.
Step 21. Click Run to generate the special prices for the matching products.
