Bulk Special (Promotional) Price Configuration

In the following example, an operation will be configured to generate special (promotional) prices that reduce the prices of products from a selected category by 15% for the duration of the promotion.
Step 1. Go to the Bulk Price Edit tab.

Step 2. Click the Add new button.

Step 3. Enter a configuration name — ideally a descriptive one that indicates what it does. In this example, enter Summer Sale -15%.
image

Step 4. In the Operation type field, select Generate specific (promotional) prices.
image

Step 5. Configure the price change parameters:
  • Modify method — select Percentage.
  • Value — enter 15.
image

Step 6. (Optional) Define a price range (Process only if price from / to) — the promotion will only be generated for products whose price falls within the specified range.
image

Step 7. In the Reduction applies to (net/gross) field, choose whether the percentage value is calculated based on the net or gross price.
image

Step 8. (Optional) In the Minimum quantity field, specify how many units of the product must be in the cart for the special price to apply (default 1).
image

Step 9. (Optional) Set the promotion's validity period using the Start date and End date fields. Leaving these fields empty means the special price will be valid indefinitely.
image

Step 10. (Optional) Select a Currency and Country if the promotion should apply only to customers paying in a specific currency or shopping from a specific country. Leaving the default values ("All currencies" / "All countries") will apply the promotion to all customers.
image

Step 11. (Optional) Enable the Delete existing specific prices first option if all existing special prices for matched products should be removed before the new promotion is added.
image

Step 12. (Optional) Check the Active products only option if the promotion should apply only to products visible in the store.
image

Step 13. (Optional) If you apply several filters below (categories, manufacturers/suppliers, features, customer groups), use the All conditions must be met option to decide whether a product must match all selected conditions at once (Yes), or whether matching any one of them is enough (No).
image

Step 14. (Optional) In the Categories section, select the categories whose products should be covered by the promotion.
image

Step 15. (Optional) In the Search products field, you can additionally pick individual, specific products to be covered by the promotion.
image

Step 16. (Optional) In the Manufacturers and Suppliers sections, select which manufacturers' or suppliers' products should be covered by the promotion.
image

Step 17. (Optional) In the Product features section, select the features that products covered by the promotion must have.
image

Step 18. (Optional) In the Customer groups section, select the groups for which the special price should apply. If no group is selected, the promotion will apply to all customers.
image

Step 19. Make sure the Active switch is set to Yes — only active configurations can be run.
image

Step 20. Click Save to store the configuration.
image

Step 21. Click Run to generate the special prices for the matching products.
