How to configure the module in accordance with EU regulations?

The GPSR regulation introduces new requirements for online stores, aimed at increasing product safety

The module offers the ability to add:

• a responsible person
• product safety information
• manufacturer data

How to add manufacturer data?

Manufacturer data can be added for a new or existing brand either by manually filling out the form or by importing a CSV file.

How to add manufacturer data manually?

To add a manufacturer:

1. in the admin panel side menu go to Catalog -> Brands & Suppliers
   
   
2. Add a new brand or edit an existing one
   
   
   
3. Add manufacturer information:
   • full name - the manufacturer's full name
   • address - the manufacturer's address
   • email - the manufacturer's email address
   • phone number - the manufacturer's phone number
   • trademark name - registered trademark name
   • website - the manufacturer's website
   • registered trademark - image of the registered trademark
   • based in the European Union - whether the manufacturer is based in the EU
   then save the changes
   
   
   

How to add a responsible person?

According to the new guidelines, a responsible person must be added if the manufacturer is not based in the European Union.
A responsible person can be added directly in the module

To do this:

1. in the module go to the Responsible Persons tab, then add a new responsible person
   
   
2. Fill in the responsible person's information
   • full name - the responsible person's full name
   • trademark name - registered trademark name
   • country - the responsible person's country
   • city - the responsible person's city
   • address - the responsible person's address
   • postal code - the responsible person's postal code
   • email address - the responsible person's email address
   • phone number - the responsible person's phone number
   • registered trademark - image of the registered trademark
   • default responsible person for new products - enabling this function will assign this responsible person to newly created products
   Then save the changes
   
   

How to add product safety information?

Product safety information can also be added directly in the module

To do this:

1. In the module go to the Safety Information tab, then add new product safety information
   
   
   
2. Fill in the product safety information
   • name - name of the safety information, visible only in the admin panel
   • instructions for use - product usage instructions
   • warnings - product warnings
   • images - images on the product packaging
   • default safety information - enabling this function will assign this safety information to newly created products
   Then save the changes
   
   

How to assign a manufacturer to a product?

After adding a manufacturer, its data is automatically assigned to the brand. This means you just need to assign the brand to the product through the standard PrestaShop mechanism

Manufacturer data can be linked to a product in two ways:

• manually assigning the brand to the product (PrestaShop mechanism)
• assigning the brand to products by filters (module function)

How to link product safety information / a responsible person to a product?

Assigning safety information and a responsible person to a product is possible in the product tab in the module configuration.

To do this:

1. Go to the product edit page, then to the Modules tab and the PShowGPSR module configuration
